The province has a solid formation programme based on the guidelines prepared by the formation Conference in Rome in which delegates from the units all over the world participated. The initial formation consists of :

1. 1 year candidacy where much attention is paid to 'Deepening of Vocation', the study of English, Catechism, and other studies for enrichment.
2. Those who have not completed their plus to complete the plus two.
3. Postulancy at Patna
4. Two year novitiate, Matigarha ( West Bengal)
5. Juniorate of 6 years for mission involvement and completing the college studies
